Consultant Oncologist Location: Northampton Contract Type: Locum Pay: £125 per hour About the Role We are seeking experienced Consultant Oncologists to provide locum cover within a busy NHS Oncology service in Northampton
We welcome applications from Consultants with expertise in one or more of the following tumour sites: Urology (Medical Oncology) Lung (Medical Oncology) Lymphoma (Clinical Oncology) Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) – Medical Oncology This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality cancer care while contributing your specialist expertise in a well-established oncology service
Key Responsibilities Deliver specialist oncology clinics and patient consultations Diagnose, assess and manage patients with complex oncological conditions Develop and oversee personalised treatment plans Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings Provide systemic anti-cancer treatment (SACT) where appropriate Maintain accurate clinical documentation Work collaboratively with the wider oncology and acute hospital teams Deliver high standards of safe, patient-centred care What We're Looking For Essential Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Medical or Clinical Oncology Previous NHS Consultant Oncology experience Expertise in one or more of the following: Urology (Medical Oncology) Lung (Medical Oncology) Lymphoma (Clinical Oncology) Cancer of Unknown Primary (Medical Oncology) Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working skills Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care Desirable Experience participating in specialist MDTs Teaching, audit or quality improvement experience Availability for ongoing locum work If you are a Consultant Oncologist with experience in Urology, Lung, Lymphoma or Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) and are looking for your next locum opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
